As members of the Mystical Body of Christ and in particular the Parish of St. John of the Cross, concerned with our faith and the exercise of our Christian Commitment as directed by Vatican II, we decalre ourselves willing to become active in the mission of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. We make this declaration with the conscious intent of creating and maintaining a communication vehicle whereby the People of God, Clergy and Laity, may speak and listen to each other frequently and frankly. It is essential that both become jointly involved in Parish Planning. We contribute time and talent in an endeavor to recommend, initiate, evaluate, approve and implement the desired programs and projects to enhance the spiritual and temporal welfare of the parish. In making this declaration, we submit to the authority directing our Church; The Holy Father, Our Bishop, Our Pastor and delegated church assistants, under the existing laws set fourth to govern Pastoral Councils.
